Hello I'm Hugh, welcome to Hinckley and District Museum, which is located in 17th century framework knitters cottages in historic Hinckley, the cradle and home of the hosiery trade, in the heart of England. On our website you will find details of our building and of our wonderful exhibits. You will also find details of the location of the museum, our opening times and how to contact us. Keep an eye on the audio link as we are adding to this over time. Here you can listen to interviews with local hosiery workers and managers, as part of an on-going project to keep a record of local industries and working life in the Hinckley district.





 Opening Hours

Opening hours Open between Easter Monday and the end of October on Saturdays 10am – 4pm. Sundays 2pm – 5pm. Bank Holiday Mondays 10am – 4pm. Mondays in August (which are not Bank Holidays) 11am – 3pm. Last admission is 30 minutes before closing. Open for group visits, during the season, on any day by appointment.

Adults 50p Children 25p Minimum charge for group visit is £10.
